  • December 17, 2020 ACE Lab Held a Closed-Door Webinar for Digital Forensic Experts

    On December 15, 2020, ACE Lab arranged the overview Webinar on Forensic Data Recovery, which brought together over 200 experts from all parts of the world. The attendees of the event walked away with detailed knowledge in drives diagnostics and evidence recovery no matter what type of storage media they get: HDDs, SSDs, RAID, NAND Flash drives, or Mobile devices. The live cases and videos illustrated the various methods of accessing data on damaged drives and strengthened their data recovery skills.

    ACE Lab has participated in the online FiFE´20 Digital Forensics Fair – one of the most popular gatherings of government agencies and private companies in Spain. This time, we have shared our knowledge in recovering evidence from SSDs based on the PCIe interface and WD SMR drives with TRIM. These topics are significant nowadays because, previously, there were no solutions to the issues related to such drives.

    By popular demand of our customers, ACE Lab has repeated the Free Webinar on Data Recovery for Beginners and Start-ups last week. The event has highlighted the most important points and common mistakes that people should keep in mind when opening the data recovery lab. Besides, we have shown how to easily diagnose the drives, make reports, and recover data from HDDs with password-protection/damaged heads, logically damaged USB drives, as well as SATA/PCIe SSDs. At the end of the meeting, we have discussed where to find more clients for the data recovery business and answered the sales and technical questions of the attendees.

  • November 05, 2020 ACE Lab Organised a Free Webinar for Data Recovery Engineers and Digital Forensics Experts in France

    Last week ACE Lab conducted a free online webinar together with our partner in France – TRACIP SAS. This time we dedicated our presentation to TRIM on SSDs and modern Western Digital SMR HDDs. The attendees of the webinar found out how to solve the TRIM issue on SSDs and learned some tips on how to get partial content from SMR HDDs that have this command.

    ACE lab developers have done a great job by researching Silicon Motion SM2258XT SSDs and optimizing the algorithms to make the most efficient and stable Utility for this type of the drives. As such, you can now raise your data recovery success rate by dealing with Silicon Power Slim S55, KingDian S200, WD Green, Apacer AS350 Panther, Patriot P200, Smartbuy Jolt, RevuAhn 885, Crucial BX500, and other SM2258XT SSDs.

  • October 02, 2020 The PCIe AHCI SSDs: Now Supported by the PC-3000 Portable III

    By popular demand, we have added the PCIe AHCI SSDs to the Support List with the BETA ver. 6.8.2 of the PC-3000 Portable III software. To deal with this type of storage media, you additionally need the new PCIe NVMe/AHCI Adapter for Apple Macbook SSD and PCIe x16 SSD Adapter.

    This solution has significantly increased the number of supported PCIe SSDs, especially Apple Macbook SSDs. If previously we only had 2017-2019 devices in the Supported List, now the manufacture dates of supported Apple Macbook SSDs start from 2013! Please follow the link below to learn more about it.

    The ACE Lab developers constantly research drives which results in a rapid expansion of the support list for the most modern storage media devices. Today, we have released PC-3000 SSD Extended – the new software add-on that supports the widest range of SSD types: SATA, mSATA, M.2 SATA, M.2 PCIe NVMe/АHCI, PCIe x16, Apple Macbook, LIF, ZIF, PATA.
