The new PC-3000 Software Ver. 7.2.12, Data Extractor / Data Extractor RAID Edition Ver. 6.2.11, PC-3000 SSD Ver. 3.2.9 has been released

The latest PC-3000 Software is available! Thanks to the new SDK we have recently switched to, it's already been the 3rd major software update released this year.

The new update has brought the enhanced T2 Reading and Analysis Mode, the support of PS5012, PS3112, the support of new SAS SSDs, and many more useful features to improve your work with data recovery cases! All this is available in the freshly-released versions of the English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean software:

HGST-IBM-ARM HDD

Data Extractor

 ADDED  a panel with navigation controls similar to Windows Explorer:
  • path selection field/buttons
  • navigation history buttons (back, list, forward)
  • buttons for creating bookmarks and moving through them (bookmarks can be created on files and folders
 ADDED  a button for searching files and folders to the panel with navigation controls in Explorer. Thus button allows to use search results to navigate in Explorer and create bookmarks:

Syntax:

| - combining conditions by "or"

Example:

**\Program*\*.exe|??123.db - at any nesting level (from the selected directory), a subdirectory is searched that includes "Program" and in it all EXE - files and DB - files that have any two characters at the beginning and “123”
 ADDED  for most file systems, methods have been implemented that allow checking headers (and file bodies when building a file system validity map) for non-standard stored files:
  • compressed
  • encrypted
  • resident
  • inline
  • deduplicated
 ENHANCED  approach that allows you to create generally correct snapshots of the file system in which files are compressed, encrypted, stored Inline or deduplicated (this could have not been applied everywhere before)
 ADDED  the ability to view the contents of compressed, encrypted, resident, deduplicated files (compressed, decrypted...) in Explorer, in the Structure Viewer Mode
 ADDED  the ability to create a virtual disk for compressed, encrypted and non-standard stores (inline for example). This feature can be useful for working with stored compressed, encrypted virtual machines in case of a problem disk. For static machines, simply creating a virtual disk is sufficient. If changes are found in the log that precede the current state of the FS, a layered disk is created, each layer representing a separate transaction in the FS change history. The context menu of this disk allows to select a specific layer. For changes not yet committed in the FS - if any are found - a separate disk with its own layers is created.

HFS+ File System

 ENHANCED  metadata scanning process speed. Now it is much faster

NTFS File System

 ADDED  icons for resident and deduplicated files

Data Extractor RAID Edition

 ADDED  method to enable the entropy map for all the RAID members and optionally run a background filling processes
 ADDED  the following steps have been added to the RAID autodetect based on data method:
  • entropy maps inclusion and RAW scan performing for all members with periodic statistics checking
  • adding variants based on statistics of built arrays based on entropy maps and RAW recovery results
 ADDED  the RAID Members Report now keeps cache for stats based on RAW recovery and entropy maps. This cache can optionally be used to significantly speed up the operation of the following modes:
  • RAID members report (statistics re-building)
  • RAID members statistics
  • auto-detection of service blocks (both based on RAW recovery and entropy map) on the RAID creation form
 ADDED  for Reed-Solomon blocks in the matrix on the RAID creation form, new methods have been added to be applied to the indexes of the selected RS block to the entire table in the synchronous and asynchronous styles
