This course is specially designed for those engineers who deal with modern WD SMR drives. It covers all the most burning challenges a data recovery engineer may face when working with WD SMR drives.

Theory:
- Patching and checking the ROM
- Service Area diagnostic
- Working with second-level translator
- Slow Responding, TLER and other preparations
- USB – SATA conversion
- Encryption / decryption problems
- Best DE settings and useful options
Practice:
- Unlocking SED-locked drive
- Work with a drive with non-original ROM
- Work with a drive with passport module damaged
- Work with a drive with T2 damaged
- Work with a formatted drive
